BIG SISTERS

MY BIG SISTER MARIA

Graceann is the oldest of all my girls. I am always explaining to her that being the first born comes with a lot of responsibilities. She has to be an example to her other sisters. They are sponges and “monkey see—monkey do”. And the monkey business that takes place is never up to any good. It’s not always easy being the oldest…but I’ve noticed that Graceann as she gets older is becoming more responsible. She does watch out for her sisters—and yes there is the occasional fight and name calling—but overall she helps her sisters in any way she can.
I can only hope that Graceann grows into the role my older sister Maria is with me and the rest of my siblings. Maria is like a mother hen (in a really good way). She watches out for all of us and is happens to be organized and on top of everything. She’s the one who knows all the important family dates. And helps plan all family outings and get togethers. It’s amazing she has time to remember everything when she has a full time job as a doctor, mother, wife, and full time scrapbooker. Her scrapbooks would put anyone to shame…do I dare say even Martha herself doesn’t hold a candle to Maria’s works of art. If you don’t believe me you can see for yourself. Check out her website

Ok…told you it was pretty phenomenal. Maria is always there for all 7 of my brothers and sisters—always with advice and a kind word and a beautiful card. Graceann has an aunt she can emulate. Have a great day…and if you can…call your older sister (or brother, or even your younger sister or brother…or your parents)—and tell them you love them and appreciate them! Thanks Maria.
